Earthquake Automatic Gas Shut-Off Valves

A “seismic gas shutoff device” refers to a mechanism installed on the property owner’s main gas pipe which mechanically shuts off gas service when an earthquake of 4.5+ magnitude or larger occurs to avert fires and explosions. Most local municipalities in California require installation of these devices.

During the installation process the gas flow to your structure will be turned off for a short period and when we’re done your gas will be turned on and all gas-utilizing appliances will be checked and verified for proper operation.
